Fall for these sparkling, floating, dancing beings that want to connect to each other to make bigger and better things...and connect kids to Fantasy, Science,  Technology, Engineering, Math, Arts and Social Action. In short it's STEM or STEAMS. 

The website explains everything. There is the character page where you find short descriptions of each character. Click on each to link to their own page with stories, homelife and real info about the real element including real images of materials made from them. Or go to the Atom City page to explore Atom City.  

Every block is a city destination populated by one of 118 ElemMate families. Hover on any block to see the real element's name and symbol, then click to go to the city spot. See what the family does for the city...and check out real element info. 

Visit other places on the site: The Story, The Gallery where visitors can submit their own ideas for new characters, stories, stuff for the city, their own art, science and engineered projects. 
Activities, Links, Blog and the Kids In Science Club with instructions and documents to form a real club like the one Evie forms in the book, Evie & the ElemMates. 

ElemMates are more than a website, more than virtual. They come to life in the novel, Evie & the ElemMates and other fantasy stories about the ElemMates. There is an action game and board game ready for players. The future will bring puzzles, jewelry, and more toys and accessories. 

ElemMates has been recommended as an in depth, up to date chemistry, materials. atomic theory  and STEAM resource for classroom use by schools. The materials are the basis for classroom projects and lessons as well as for workshops. After visiting the website, participants do hands on projects  with element material and create their own scenarios and characters.
